Corso Pilota

Now available at two premium tracks in North America, Ferrari Corso Pilota offers exclusive two day programs that allow Ferrari Owners and their guests to experience the performance of a Ferrari in the controlled environment of a race track. Offered since 2006 in Quebec, Canada and since 2013 in Austin, Texas, these courses are based on the Corso Pilota programs available in Italy
The focus of the sport course is on learning drive and control a Ferrari properly on track, and to understand and communicate with the vehicle. Graduates are then better prepared to face challenging driving situations with an enhanced sense of awareness and greater precision. The school takes a step-by-step approach that starts with an important discussion of vehicle dynamics, or why cars behave the way they do. Skills are progressively developed before participants lap the complete race track.

A natural ladder progression accommodates those that want to continue to train. Ferrari North America offers Advance programs for graduates of the basic level. Like the Sport course, Advance programs follow Corsa Pilota curricula from Italy and further develop skills honed in the earlier program, providing greater comfort and confidence at speed. In-depth training including the analysis of data captured from lapping session. The agenda includes theory sessions in the classroom and highly personalized instruction.

Now offered in North America, graduates of the Advance Program can enjoy the Evolution course, as it transitions from precision driving to a more dynamic race preparatory program. These courses further develop driver skills and introduce new race theory as well as the 458 Challenge EVO race car in lapping sessions to complete the program. Data capture tools are used, helping show students exactly where and when their turning, braking and acceleration techniques excel and where they might be improved. Technical and theory sessions are included as is highly personalized instruction.

For those with greater experience and an eye on competition or track days, Ferrari North America now offers the Challenge Program.  Extremely limited in capacity and available to graduates of Advance and Evolution courses, the Challenge Program is approximately 75% of the course drive time is conducted in the 458 Challenge EVO car. Drivers are required to wear full racing suits, helmets and gloves, which is provided if necessary. The curriculum relies heavily on data capture tools, theory sessions and highly personalized instruction. Graduates are then IMSA certified and eligible to pursue Ferrari Challenge racing in North America.
