Ferrari Races to Wall Street

A short two days ago, Ferrari Chairman Sergio Marchionne rang the famous opening bell at Wall Street’s New York Stock Exchange. That was when Ferrari became a publicly traded company, with its shares listing on the NYSE under the ticker symbol RACE. According to a NBC News article from that day, “The IPO put the initial share price at $52….In early trading, the stock jumped $8.50 a share, to $60.50.” You can watch footage from the ground-breaking NYSE debut below.

The Maranello-based car manufacturer, created by Enzo Ferrari in 1929, is currently valued at almost $10 billion.
