Checking Out the new 2015 Ferrari California T at the Geneva Motor Show

Date: March 10, 2014

The 2014 Geneva Motor Show has all but wrapped up in Switzerland, but automotive publications are still working to keep their heads above the flood of news that is pouring out of the exposition center. One of the top stories in the ultra-luxury segment is the public debut of the new 2015 Ferrari California T. This incredible sports cruiser has been given a new more-powerful drivetrain and we think that true performance enthusiasts here on Long Islandwon’t be able to get enough.

The California T has retained its retractable hard top which means it can transition from hot all-weather coupe, to a sun-soaking convertible in just 14 seconds. An improved steering box, magnetic dampers and a more sophisticated traction control system have also been added to the California T, but the biggest change has to be the new engine.

Under the hood, the new 2015 California T uses a new 3.9-liter turbocharged V8 engine. That means that drivers have access to 560 horsepower and 557 lb.-ft. of torque. Those numbers are significantly larger than those generated by the previous drivetrain. The torque has actually increased by a whole 49 percent. That translates to an impressive 0 – 62 mph. sprint time of just 3.6 seconds.

We are happy to announce that our dealership has managed to already add one of these models to our inventory of new Ferrari cars available here in the Plainview area. If you would like to add some excitement to your life in the upcoming spring, then please take the time to contact us and schedule a time to meet with our team of Ferrari specialists. We look forward to hearing from you soon.
